Dallavi et al (2018) reported that Classical Virechana provided significant relief in all the cardinal signs and symptoms and provided major improvement to 30.7% patients and minor improvement to 46.3% patients of Amavata but remaining 23.0% patients remained unchanged. As none of the patients got complete remission with Virechana therefore it was suggested that after Virechana appropriate Shamana drugs should also be prescribed for further relief. Hence in this study after proper Virechana Simhanada Guggulu was administered for two months. The results of this study showed that Simhanada Guggulu administered after Virechana provided significant relief in all the cardinal signs and symptoms and caused complete remission to 16.6% cases, major improvement to 33.4% patients and Minor improvement to 33.4% patients of rheumatoid arthritis but 16.6% of the patients remained unchanged.
