EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON IMMUNITY POTENTIATION EFFECT OF MANDUKAPARNI (HYDROCOTYLE ASIATICA)

  • Gurdip Singh

Abstract

VachÄ (Acorus calamus) and shatÄvari (Asparaguses racemosus) have been reported by Singh (1982 & 2014) to have significant humoral antibody potentiation action; therefore this study was carried out to screen another well known rasÄyana drug mandukaparni (Hydrocotyle asiatica) for its same type of action. The results of this experimental study showed that Mandukaparni possesses significant humoral antibody potentiation action which was better in comparison to vachÄ and shatavÄri.
