Abstract

Kumari Shyla (2014) reported that oral administration of Phalaghrita for three months caused pregnancy in 19.4% female infertile patients which did not seem to be very satisfactory. As Uttarabasti is considered to be more effective in yoni and garbhÄshaya disorders, therefore this study was carried out to evaluate the role of Uttarabasti given with Phalaghrita in the management of the female infertility. For this purpose 30 female patients of infertility were given 3 days course of the phalaghrita uttarabasti in each month for three months. The results of this study showed that the Phalaghrita uttarabasti caused conception in 60% of the patients. Hence it was concluded that the administration of phalaghrita in the form of uttarabasti causes conception to a greater extent in female infertile patients than when given it orally.
